To the Indian Society in general and to the educational development in particular, the contribution of Hislop College has been significant. To the educational field it gave Sir Hari Singh Gour, who became the first Vice-Chancellor of the Delhi University and later gave away his entire wealth and energy in founding Sagar University. He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly which framed the Constitution. To the social arena, it has given Baba Amte whose work amongst the lepers needs no introduction and who has been so widely acclaimed the world over. To the polity of the Nation, Hilsop College gave Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla.

And to Science, this college has given Dr. Saraswati Sukumar who today adorns the Barbara Rubenstein Chair at the Johns Hopkins University, USA, and has devised a method that detects breast cancer at one cell stage. To Science, it has also given Dr. Ketan Mulmule, who is today a highly reputed Senior Scientist at NASA and is doing commendable research in artificial intelligence. In the 125 years of history of our college, we have had our fair share of friends who have aided us in every possible way in our pursuits and our quest. Bodies like the Scottish Church, AIACHE, CNI, Nagpur Diocese.
Our other friends are Central India Institute of Medical Sciences with whom we have research tie-up. Staff from this national establishment is also involved in teaching at our college.
We also have a tie-up with the PK Deshpande Memorial Cardiac centre for cardiac research. This allows us an interface with cardiac patients directly for our life-science research.
We have a mutual understanding with the PGTD of Chemistry, Nagpur University, for research and postgraduate teaching.
Our other friends are the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and the Yeshwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. Several of our courses today run with their help.
